HERP Inc. is an HR Tech company on a mission to "Transform hiring and strengthen Japan." We develop and provide multiple services aimed at optimizing the matching between companies and talent. Our flagship product, **HERP Hire**, is a recruitment management system that has been adopted by over 2,000 companies, including IT firms and publicly listed enterprises, as of June 2024.
In addition to HERP Hire, we offer:
- HERP Nurture: Talent pool management system
- JobMill: Job management system for recruitment agencies
- HERP Trust: Online reference check tool
We are pursuing a multi-product strategy to address various challenges in the recruitment market through the growth of existing businesses, the launch of new ventures, and M&A activities.
**Position Overview:**
As a Platform Engineer at HERP, you will work alongside Product Owners to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and utilize software engineering, system engineering, and soft skills to measure and control reliability. While SLOs are already in operation for our main service, HERP Hire, ongoing feature additions necessitate the review and improvement of existing metrics. We are accelerating Platform Engineer hiring to ensure stronger reliability.
Additionally, we are expanding services such as agent-oriented businesses and consumer media ventures, which require stable and scalable system operations. Strengthening the Platform team is essential to build a reliable platform amidst increasing system complexity due to business expansion.
**Responsibilities:**
Design and operate infrastructure for the HERP series, a SaaS platform enabling Scrum-based recruitment.
- Provision and manage AWS, GCP, and other resources required for application development, including architecture reviews.
- Enhance deployment workflows, including CI/CD setup, end-to-end test automation, and operation of deployment tools like Argo CD.
**Team Structure:**
Our engineering organization is divided into three main areas:
1. Product development teams for each business (e.g., HERP Hire, HERP Trust, JobMill, HERP Careers).
2. Platform teams providing technologies to support further engineering achievements (e.g., SRE, data infrastructure, common platforms).
3. Teams formulating strategies for the overall growth of the engineering organization.

- Engage in discussions with business managers and designers to drive product development beyond mere implementation and coding.
- Participate in user feedback sessions to deepen customer understanding.
- Contribute to an open and flat organizational culture where team building and decision-making are collaborative efforts.
